Syllabus

What you will learn

This course teaches you to do makeup on other people, not just on yourself. You learn to read a client's skin, match a base to Indian skin tones, and finish a look that holds up in photos. You practise on classmates and live models in our Madhusudan Nagar studio, with the trainer beside you.

- Reading oily, dry, combination and sensitive skin before you start
- Cleansing, moisturising and priming for each skin type
- Cleaning brushes, sponges and tools between clients
- Patch tests and what to do if a client has a reaction
- Undertones: warm, cool and neutral, and how to spot them
- Matching foundation on the jaw and neck, not the hand
- Colour correcting dark circles, pigmentation and redness
- Concealer, setting powder and avoiding a grey or white cast
- Contour, blush and highlight placed for different face shapes
- Brow shaping and filling that suits the face

On model days, you do a full look on a live model from skin prep to setting

You photograph your work in good light for your portfolio
