What you will learn

This is a short, hands-on course for anyone who wants to stop guessing in front of the mirror. You learn on your own face first, from a clean everyday look to an evening party look. Then you practise a simple party look on a classmate or a live model, with the trainer beside you.

- Finding your skin type: oily, dry or combination
- Cleansing, toning and moisturising before makeup
- Choosing a base shade that matches your face and neck
- Which brushes and sponges to use, and how to wash them
- Keeping your products and tools clean
- Primer and a light foundation or tinted base
- Concealing dark circles and spots without a heavy layer
- Setting with powder so it does not look cakey
- Light blush and a soft contour for daytime
- Filling and shaping your brows to suit your face
- Kajal and eyeliner: soft line and a simple wing
- Mascara and putting on strip lashes
- Lip liner and choosing a lip colour for your skin tone
- Soft glam for a daytime function
